Building Backlinks in 2020

Backlink methods that still work 2020

“Add Url For Free Backlinks” that is a common phrase that we used to hear back in 2000, those days of easy SEO are long gone, Search Engine Optimization is now very complex and it takes a long time and effort to reach the rankings for most keywords, however there are still a lot of methods and tactics that still do work in 2020 and today we’ll discuss a few ways for you to get links back to your website.

So why is link building important and why should we care since we have access to Social Media and other channels where we can distribute our content like Youtube? Well, the truth of the matter is that most of your customers are still going to look for you using search engines like Bing and Google, it still important to get new customers through our content and for you to rank high you need to build back links even if we have websites like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

Link Popularity Still King To Increase Your Rankings

Today has been a busy bee day! I’ve already worked through a large directory list submitting my web site to approximately 100 directories on the Internet. Of course, I judged each before submitting for content relation to my own web site and the sites’ Google Page Rank of importance. The most important thing here is to make sure that you submit to relevant business directories, the old style directories that would accept every website that got submitted do not work anymore, make sure that you find website directories in your niche and that are well managed, these links will still help with your Google Rankings.

This is an older and time honored technique of quickly developing a link system between your web site and others. It also helps eliminate irrelevant reciprocal link exchanges between your site and others. Finding closely related content to link and be linked from has never been easier than this technique. I wanted to quickly show you how so after reading this blog and taking notes get started!

First, go to Google and type in one of the following. It’s pretty self explanatory

1. intitle: add+url “keyword phrase”
2. intitle: submit+url “keyword phrase”
3. intitle: add+site “keyword phrase”
4. intitle: submit+site “keyword phrase”
5. intitle: add+your+site “keyword phrase”

By using these keyword operators you will filter out any directory that is not closely related to the main topic of your websites, directories that charge and are popular might be worth the cost, just make sure that your backlink is “dofollow”.

Simply put, when you go to Google and type in one of the preceding examples Google will return results of relevant matches. These matches are the web sites most likely to be

1) Related to the content of your web site – It is not a terrible idea to make a list of contacts of people in your industry and see if they are able to add you their websites as well, specially if they have a directory as many webmasters already do.

2) Allow you to submit or exchange links with that site – If you are able to provide the directory owners with a unique description of your business it will help them add more unique content and it will help you get a link back.

3) Boost your search engine ranking when you get your link on their site – Then move on to the next directory, I would not add my site on more than 100 directories ad they may appear spammy, however if the directory gets good targeted traffic it might be worth it.

So what do you do after you get these results from Google by using the methods above? Open up an Excel spreadsheet and keep track of where you find the best chances for submission. Document them and then go back to those directories in a month or two and see if your listed yet. Keeping a careful eye on your submissions is necessary for your web site’s optimization. This step is important because if your rankings improve, you can always go back to those same directories and add more websites.

As you can see, SEO does not have to be that complicated in 2020, yes there are many methods that are very advanced but at the end of the day what matters is that you create an awesome website with a lot of unique, quality content and promote it, if people get value from what you write they will continue to come back and read more, this is what we try to provide here at Inbox27.com, we create content that will be useful to you.
